The ESI Europe 2.0 project has eceived funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.

It was launched in 2021, in Croatia, Greece and Slovakia with respectively Društvo za oblikovanje održivog razvoja (DOOR), Centre for Renewable Energy Sources (CRES), and Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA). Together with the Basel Agency for Sustainable Energy (BASE) as the project coordinator, they form the project consortium.

The ESI 2.0 project builds up on the experience of the ESI Europe program that was launched already in 2018 where the Basel Agency for Sustainable Energy (BASE), the Italian Federation for Energy Efficiency (FIRE), Business Council for ustainable Development Portugal (BCSD Portugal) and nergyLab (Spain), received funding from the European Union to conduct a project in scaling up investments in energy efficiency.
